Rankings (including Chambers)

Knapp Marketing offers firms a full range of services related to managing credible law firm rankings such as Chambers USA, Legal 500, PLC Which Lawyer? and Benchmark, among others. Our services are led by Aileen Hinsch, a former Am Law 100 rankings specialist. While in-house she created a process for managing over 40 Chambers submissions for the firm and then repurposing that information for other legal rankings submissions. She knows the rankings world inside and out, having worked in this area with Am Law 100 firms since 2005.

At Knapp, each of our team members has more than a decade of experience working directly with attorneys, earning their respect and helping them translate their legal expertise into client-friendly (and researcher-friendly) communications.  We have excellent relationships with editors and researchers and we have years of experience with what works in achieving rankings success, including the follow-up required to make sure an excellent submission translates into actually being ranked. Our services include:

  • Rankings Report.  A periodic email with updates on selected rankings publications for clients and friends of the firm. (To sign up, send a request via our Contact Page).
  • Rankings Assessment.  After benchmarking your firm’s representation in respected ranking publications, we will provide a recommendation for which rankings to disregard and which to focus on based on your firm and its practices.  Then, we will review your process and suggest alternatives to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Rational Rankings.  For firms whose in-house staff is struggling under the burden of managing rankings, we can provide a process and train your in-house staff to implement it, along with providing time-tested tips and templates to help make the process more efficient.
  • The Kitchen Sink.  We also work with firms, practice groups or individual attorneys to develop submissions from start to finish.  We are experienced in working with attorneys to extract the matters and references we need to create a submission that makes a powerful case.
